File this under “Easily Held Views” but the antihuman swines who did this should have an extra-special circle in Hell reserved for them:
The mother of schoolgirl Shannon Matthews has been found guilty of kidnapping her own daughter by drugging her and tethering her to a wall in order to claim reward money offered for her safe return.
Karen Matthews, 33, and her accomplice Michael Donovan, 40 – the uncle of Matthews’ partner, Craig Meehan – were today convicted of false imprisonment, kidnap and perverting the course of justice.
The pair concocted a plan in which Shannon was held in Donovan’s flat for 24 days, drugged with temazepam and travel sickness tablets, and confined by an elastic strap with a noose on the end.
We’ve seen some terrible, terrible things this year, but somehow this takes the absolute biscuit. The image of that little girl tethered and drugged and terrified while her mother capered in front of the cameras – and all for the sake of a few quid – fills me with something primeval. And you know – you just know – that there isn’t an ounce of remorse in either of their lying, putrescent hides. Britain might not be broken, but if there’s many more of these people around the place it certainly might be creaking.
